Not actual bugs... programming bugs.
This last round, my project group was plagued with complications related to the PS Moves and their integration into our game. For reference, PS Moves were / are Playstation controllers that track movement. They were launched to compete against the Nintendo Wii and XBOX Kinect, but largely fell flat in sales, which is why no one knows what they are. Or maybe you do. Whatever. I hate them. The game we made was overly ambitious, and needless to say, I am happy to move onto a new round.
I joined up with a new team this week, which is exciting because we get to choose teammates this final round, and (on a slightly selfish note) I am happy I am not the last kid in gym class! Woo! On a more normal note, the team is great and we want to change up our "game" for this round to be more experiential rather than strictly "gamey".
In other news, I got my grad school biz cards today. I think it's a little weird we need them, as I never really gave out my actual business cards when I worked, but we need them.
In final news, I've been hate-watching "The Voice" while at home. It's a great show to have on while cooking, doing laundry, cleaning etc. as there is no plot beyond the love-festing between Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. ANYWAY, I heard this song and I'm now obsessed with it. I am afraid to admit it, but I happen to like the version from the Voice better than the original from the band Kodaline, but I wanted to share the very weird music video from the original source. There are two versions, which seems self indulgent, but I digress, and I've linked them below. They have a continuing storyline, protagonist and all that jazz, but the song just repeats between the two videos. The video made me sad, even if it verges on the ridiculous. Enjoy. See ya next week.
OMG PPS - here is my halloween costume as the GHOST OF TACOS PAST... which basically just became my explaining the Dickensian tie in, and then eventually abandoning my "ghost of" part of the costume since people here neither knew of Dickens nor of the Christmas Story. Bah Humbug.
