Greetings! After boasting to a number of people about how good I was at keeping a weekly blog, I promptly stopped posting for two weeks. I know, I share your concern.
ANYWHOOSIE I am going to give an abbreviated recap of events. This week we had our finals, of sorts, for the class Building Virtual Worlds. The final is a festival, where the entries are determined via democratic process (boo democracy! my faves didn't make the festival...) and a jury of professors. Out of a possible 70+, only 18 or so make the fest. My installation space, "Interactive Magic" ended up making the cut! We changed up a bunch of things and the end product was awesome! I will upload a video later next week. I was part of a team that made, essentially, a rave corner in our festival. We gave out glow sticks as party favors. That happened.
In related news, we are selecting project courses for next semester and I am super excited! A lot of the projects have to do with mobile and VR, so hopefully I'll get one that values my extensive experience in men's underwear, loungewear and hosiery. In addition to a project next semester, I am taking a course on RPG writing. That's role playing games for all you non Dungeons and Dragons people. We shall see what my future holds. Right now I feel like a strand of spaghetti flapping in the wind.
In other news, I want to see the movie Macbeth with Michael Fassbender and Marion Cotillard. It looks so epic!!! Not playing anywhere near me in Pittsburgh. Sadness.
In final news, we are winding down here at school, and I only have two smallish papers standing in my way to the return to civilization. It's so depressing - I remember when the weeks between Thanksgiving and Christmas seemed an eternity. Now I feel like I sneeze and it's the New Year.
Here's a gif of me fighting a dragon. Until next time...
